January 23rd. Monday

The boys came from Lake Louise today–to rescue Hans who has an injured foot. (not due to track setting). Leland put the Yoho Valley Road into shape and Andrew started on Emerald. It’s all beautifully done again—all except the the Connector and the full loop on the lake. The direct route to the back of the lake on the ice is done and so is the shore trail ALL around the lake. Perfect time to do this before it gets walked to much. Thank you guys.

Trail update for the Lake Louise to Banff Loppet!

The trail starting at the Lake Louise Chateau, down to the Bow river loop, to Baker Creek and Caslte Junction is in great condition! It keeps going to Johnston Canyon, the Saw back, all the way to the Sunshine turn off ( some section are difficult through there). Then from Healy creek, all the way to Banff is great for skating. Head out and explore some sections of this trail, only groomed once a year! I skied the whole distance yesterday and trail was in the best condition I have ever skied it ! Have fun, call me if you have any questions,Jessica.
