It’s mid December and the x-c skiing in Yoho has been GREAT for over a month now!  Emerald Lake has a wonderful early season base and a new track was set all around on the ice just yesterday. The Alluvial Fan & Horse Trail are perfect. John also track set 2 kms. of the Connector from the Emerald Lake end. The remainder of the Connector needs more snow.

Just skied the Kicking Horse Fire road today to the picnic table (5 kms) and it is perfectly double track set with skating  in between. FANTASTIC! The grooming continues to the Otterhead river bench.—7 kms one way. And Sunny with spectacular sunset!!!
