Trail update

All trails leading out of Emerald Lake got PACKED yesterday but it got too warm to track set them.  Hans will do tracks on Tuesday morning—that is the plan!  Enjoy the tracks at Emerald Lake for the meantime.

MARCH 16 AVALANCHE IS DOWN!

Snowed a foot overnight at Emerald and She came down during the night again(thank Goodness).  It’s flanks just about reached the walking trail and it is a relief to see it down. Joe came to pack the trails and set a track around Emerald. He was off down the Connector when I left the area so it looks like we could have perfect tracks for tomorrow morning. It will be nice to ski soft trails again. Get out here.

Thank you members

Hello, I would like to thank all of members who participated in the moon light ski last night, it was fantastic! Great temperatures, fresh snow and we even had some views, no head-lights required! Thank you Marilyn for handing out waxless ski to everyone, it made it easy for everyone… And finally thank you to all our members who participated to other events. Each event this year, was something to remember…We appreciate your support toward the club and hope to see you next year on the trails. Have a great spring, Jessica :)

SPRING CONDITIONS ARE HERE

The snow CRUST has formed and yesterday was day one of off track GREAT skiing. Existing tracks at Emerald Lake are quite hard and glazed. The track setter could not even make a dent into it–but John did manage to make a trail on the crust to the outside of the the LAKE LOOP only. Sweet for classical skiing and just go off track to ski skate. The Alluvial Fan is also GREAT to cruise through the trees—off track. Mid to late afternoon could be different though–you may sink through. The Connector and other trails are glazed , hard and fast also—-please use caution. Enjoy that sunshine and clear skies.
