This is what I’ve been waiting for ! I’m going out this morning and will freshen up the Em . Lk. trails [CAUTION : SLUSH on the lake due to the snow sinking the ice so stay on shore!]  Then I’ll be working on the connector , hope to have a good track by this afternoon .  AND!  Yes I got a good track at Emerald Lk.[ not on the lk.] And the Connector /Reconnector is getting better, And the K.H. fire rd. , and Tallyho to the info ctr. also  have a track with  some new snow on them , and lots more snow forcast .

Set fresh tracks this evening on the lake,horse trail and Aluvian Fan, should set up well overnight.

I cut a few more trees on the fire road and got a fresh track out to the end. The connector track is still early season rough but should be good and fun. The hills [especially the Reconnector  ] are groomed smooth but watch out for lumps and ridges . and  tweeks in the tracks where the tracksetter  hopped sideways . It might be best to ski it , starting at the Nat. Bridge parking lot so you get warm skiing up hill and get a look at the new Reconnector section , it starts off of the TallyHo just a few hundred meters up from the parking area .Have fun ,be careful , keep warm [skiing] Did I win anything at the supper last night ?

Dave and I have been working on the connector and over to Field Info [closed weekdays but warm washrooms are open:} I got a classic track on the tallyho , and might get some track on the connector today if Dave dosn’t  hog the sled all day…. he’s going to touch up the alluvial fan at the back of Emerald lake.

Was at Emerald all day yesterday, very windy and cold! Managed to put fresh tracks on the horse trail and Aluvian fan, however it was still windy when I left, so expect pine needles/debris in tracks and less than ideal conditions on the fan(windblown sections) If any body is going out, please let us know conditions!
